Cookie Policy
The cookies, local storage and similar technologies used by this website and the OpsIQ chat widget — what each one does, and how to control it.
1. Overview
OpsIQ uses a small number of cookies and equivalent local-storage entries to keep you signed in, remember your theme, and run essential session security. The cookie consent banner you see on first visit lets you control non-essential storage.
2. Essential cookies
| Name | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
opsiq_saas_sess | SaaS portal authentication | Session |
opsiq_app_sess | Standalone admin authentication | Session |
_saas_csrf | CSRF protection on forms | Session |
opsiq-cloud | Cloud tenant routing (when applicable) | 30 days |
3. Preference storage
| Key | Where | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
opsiq_saas_theme | localStorage | Light/dark theme preference |
opsiq_vid_* | localStorage | Anonymous visitor ID for the chat widget |
4. Analytics & widget
The OpsIQ widget on a customer's website creates an anonymous visitor identifier in localStorage so that returning visits can be linked. No third-party tracking pixels are loaded.
5. How to control cookies
- Open the cookie preferences link in the site footer to revisit your choice at any time.
- Most browsers also let you block or clear cookies under Settings → Privacy.
- Blocking essential cookies will break login and CSRF protection.
6. Updates
If we add new cookies or storage entries, we update this page and re-prompt the consent banner where law requires.
